Don Nelson ties record for coaching victories as Warriors beat Raptors
Golden State 113, at Toronto 112: Don Nelson tied Lenny Wilkens for the most wins by an NBA coach when the Warriors held off the Raptors for their second straight victory. The victory was the 1,332nd for Nelson, who can pass Wilkens when Golden State plays at Washington on Tuesday. Golden State’s players danced in a circle around Nelson after the wild finish, which saw Chris Bosh steal the inbounds pass only to have his attempt at a game-winning layup roll off the rim as time expired.
at Orlando 107, Memphis 92: Vince Carter had 26 points and seven rebounds for the Magic in a game that included an on-court scuffle between the Magic’s Matt Barnes and the Grizzlies’ Hasheem Thabeet that escalated into a near 10-player shoving match. There were six technical fouls by game’s end.
at Oklahoma City 116, Minnesota 108: Kevin Durant scored 40 points for the Thunder and broke the franchise record for scoring in a season.
at Washington 109, New Jersey 99: Andray Blatche had 20 points, a career-high 13 assists and nine rebounds for the Wizards.
at Indiana 133, Houston 102: Roy Hibbert had 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Pacers, who have won nine of their last 10 home games.
