The Angels managed seven hits against six pitchers, including two each by

, however, struck out three times. For the Dodgers,

with a first-inning single and

hit a solo home run to right field.
ON THE MOUND:
Two of the three Angels pitchers who made their spring debuts looked shaky, but reliever
Kevin Jepsen
struck out two and walked one in a scoreless sixth inning. Starter
Scott Kazmir
, on the other hand, gave up two runs and five hits and walked two in 2 1/3 innings while reliever
Fernando Rodney
gave up two singles, walked two and failed to finish the fifth. The Dodgers’
Ramon Ortiz
threw four innings, striking out five, and
Charlie Haeger
threw one inning, giving up one hit and striking out two.
