Wisconsin scored 83 points last week against Indiana and Michigan recently allowed 65 points to Illinois … and won. Michigan’s defense plugged enough holes with gum last week to give up only 16 to Purdue. The pick: Wisconsin.

No. 7 Stanford (9-1) at California (5-5)

Saturday, 12:30 p.m., Prime Ticket

Stanford is off to its best start since 1951 and still has a shot at a BCS bowl with an 11-1 finish, but the Cardinal has lost seven of the last eight “Big Games.” Cal is a different team at home, as Oregon found out last week. The pick: Cal.

No. 8 Ohio State (9-1) at No. 21 Iowa (7-3)

Saturday, 12:30 p.m., Channel 7

So much for this being the game of the year in the Big Ten, but it’s still huge for Ohio State in terms of the conference race. The Buckeyes could also be a BCS at-large candidate at 11-1 if they don’t win the league. The pick: Iowa.
