Diesel Books opens its fourth store
Diesel Books opened its fourth location on Friday in Larkspur, Calif. The bookstore now has four shops, all in California.
In Brentwood, Diesel is in the Brentwood Country Mart. The Mart’s landlord has launched a similar group of shops in Larkspur, the Marin Country Mart, and enticed Diesel to open a store there.
Larkspur is in Marin County in Northern California, just a few miles south of San Rafael.
The Larkspur store is Diesel’s second in Northern California, following the opening of a shop in Oakland in the East Bay. Southern California has two locations, Brentwood and Malibu.
Diesel is a classic independent bookstore operation in that its shops carry a mix of literary fiction, nonfiction and children’s books, paying special attention to the needs of the local community. The Brentwood store, for example, has a selection of coffee table books focused on entertainment, fashion and art.
The new store can be found at 2419 Larkspur Landing Circle, Larkspur, Calif. 94939. The store is open Mon.-Fri. from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
