Actress Ashley Tisdale marries singer Christopher French

Ashley Tisdale is now Mrs. Christopher French!

The “High School Musical” star tied the knot Monday and announced the news on Instagram on Tuesday.

“Best day of my life! Introducing Mr and Mrs French Sept 8, 2014,” Tisdale wrote.

The 29-year-old, who will next appear in TBS’ “Buzzy’s,” posted a photo by wedding photog Corbin Gurkin showing the bride and groom in their wedding finery. In the scenic shot, Tisdale is wearing a floral crown and a floor-length, A-line gown with delicate cap sleeves. She’s linking arms with and gazing at her new husband, who is in a dark tux and tie. The actress is also carrying a bouquet of pink and white flowers and greenery.

“Yes, she got married last night,” Tisdale’s publicist told the Los Angeles Times, declining to share any further details about the private nuptials.

Tisdale followed up her announcement with a snapshot of herself surrounded by her six bridesmaids, one of whom was her “HSM” costar Vanessa Hudgens. The girls wore various pink and gray gowns for the occasion and wore their hair up in milkmaid-style braids.

“Thanks to @nikkilee901 @msmorganashley @tauni901 @karanmitchellmua @dickycollins for making us all look beautiful,” she wrote, thanking her glam squad.

Zac Efron, another member of the Disney franchise family, also tweeted his congratulations to the new couple.

“Congrats Ash and Chris!” he wrote in response to Tisdale’s initial announcement.

French, the lead singer of Annie Automatic, popped the question in August 2013 at the top of the Empire State Building after eight months of dating.

“You know, I didn’t [think it’d happen that quickly],” Tisdale said on “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” in December.

“I’ve obviously been in long relationships in the past and stuff. But I think because of knowing what I wanted, I wouldn’t have gone into a relationship if it wasn’t what I wanted,” Tisdale said. “And I think from the moment that him and I met, I just knew it. I was like, ‘OK, this is the guy,’ and he knew the same thing. It’s just this feeling that, it doesn’t get any better. I just can’t explain it.”

It’s a first marriage for both.
