“Real Housewives of New Jersey” couple Joe and Teresa Giudice pleaded not guilty Wednesday to two additional fraud counts brought against them by federal prosecutors.

Add those to the 39 counts between them that they pleaded not guilty to back in July, and they’re looking at quite a trip to court in the future -- and possibly to prison, if they’re convicted.

Wednesday’s hearing took only about three minutes, according to the New Jersey Star-Ledger, with the couple showing little emotion except for what appeared to be a couple of smirks from Joe Giudice before the hearing began.

The two new charges -- bank fraud and loan application fraud -- are very similar to many of the earlier ones. Prosecutors allege the couple stated on a mortgage loan application that Teresa Giudice was working as a real estate agent and making $15,000, Time reported. Authorities said she was actually unemployed at the time.

The Giudices now face a combined 41 charges alleging that in order to maintain their lavish lifestyle they conspired to commit financial fraud to obtain mortgages and other loans, and hid assets and income when they were going through bankruptcy proceedings in 2009.

Joe is also accused of failure to file income tax returns in 2004 through 2008. He’s actually an Italian citizen, so he could face deportation if convicted.

The couple have four daughters.
