Joseph Gordon-Levitt welcomes baby boy with wife Tasha McCauley
Jo-Go is a dad! Joseph Gordon-Levitt and his wife, Tasha McCauley, have welcomed a baby boy.
The “Snowden” star’s rep confirmed the child’s birth to the Los Angeles Times but declined to share any additional details, including date of birth or the boy’s name.
Gordon-Levitt, 34, kept the pregnancy news hush-hush, much like he did when he secretly married the tech entrepreneur in December.
The couple met through mutual friends and began dating in 2013. They got hitched in a private ceremony at home in Los Angeles last Dec. 20, with news of the union surfacing on New Year’s Eve.
McCauley, a tech entrepreneur, is cofounder and chief executive of the Silicon Valley-based robotics company Fellow Robots, according to previous reports.
The “Inception” star opened up (slightly) about the romance during a September 2013 appearance on “The Howard Stern Show.” He didn’t reveal McCauley’s identity at the time but did waffle on the topic of marriage and monogamy during the guest spot.
“I think that I could partner up with somebody -- I don’t know who that somebody is -- I could partner up with a woman and commit to, we’re going to raise a family and that’s a project we’re going to commit to for 20-something years,” the actor-director said.
He added that he could be sexually monogamous during that time, but may change his outlook after the kids grow up.
“I like to not be too committed to any one future that’s really far away, necessarily, unless there’s a reason, which is why I’m saying if you’re gonna raise a family ... I can make that commitment.”
Us Weekly was first to report the child’s arrival.
