Yeah, baby (again)! Mike Myers and wife Kelly Tisdale welcome their third child
Mike Myers is returning to newborn duties: The “Saturday Night Live” alum has welcomed his third child.
Myers, 52, and his wife, Kelly Tisdale, welcomed a baby girl in New York on Monday, according to reports. They named her Paulina Kathleen.
The comedian’s rep told the Associated Press that both mom and baby are doing well and said both parents are “elated” with their new arrival.
The “Austin Powers” star and his wife, who wed in 2010, are already parents to two uniquely named kiddos: son Spike, born in 2011, and daughter Sunday, born in 2014.
“Spike is a very common Liverpool nickname if your name is Eric,” the “Shrek” star explained on the “Late Show With David Letterman” back in August 2014.
Myers noted that he also loves Irish English comedian and writer Spike Milligan (as well as Spike Jones and Spike Jonze, “the radio guy, and the director,” respectively).
As for Sunday, whose middle name is Molly, the funnyman said it all had to do with his loathing for the day itself.
“Sunday is because me and my wife Kelly hate Sundays — I’m not even kidding — and we wanted to turn it around and make it a good thing,” he said.
“Molly is because of my Auntie Molly in Liverpool, England, who was my dad’s sister but more like my grandmother who I love very much, and she’s my guardian angel,” Myers said.
No word yet on why the couple went with a more traditional name for baby No. 3, but we’ll let you know as soon as we find out.
A rep for Myers did not immediately respond to The Times’ request for comment.
