‘Vampire Diaries’ star Paul Wesley, Torrey DeVitto to divorce

A “Vampire Diaries” hearthrob is single again: Paul Wesley and wife Torrey Devitto are getting a divorce.

While this may be happy news for fans of the CW’s successful supernatural drama, the split comes just after two years of marriage.

The pair “have decided to amicably split. They will continue to remain good friends,” Wesley’s rep told People.

Wesley, 31, plays brooding vampire Stefan Salvatore on “The Vampire Diaries,” and DeVitto, 29, has appeared in ABC Family’s “Pretty Little Liars” and also played Dr. Meredith Fell alongside Wesley in “TVD.”

The couple met on set of the 2007 film “Killer Movie” and tied the knot in April 2011 in a private New York City ceremony.

His costars Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are also getting a dose of the single life. The actors called it quits on their three-year relationship last May just around the time their onscreen counterparts finally committed to their tumultuous affair.

Perhaps the show’s drawn-out love triangle will lend itself to life imitating art in its fifth season?

A Team Stefan fan can only dream...
