Saturday Night Live: Josh Brolin (“Men in Black 3”) hosts, with musical guest Gotye (11:29 p.m. NBC).

Titanic: Not to be confused with the James Cameron blockbuster, this new miniseries offers its own take on the most famous disaster in maritime history; Linus Roache (“Law & Order”) and Perdita Weeks (“The Tudors”) star (8 p.m. ABC; concludes 9 p.m. Sunday).

Hunger Hits Home: The crisis of childhood hunger in America as well as possible solutions are explored in this new special hosted by Oscar winner Jeff Bridges (8 p.m. Food).

MOVIES

The Inspector General: Danny Kaye is mistaken for that titular official in this 1949 romp (9 p.m. KCET).

Moneyball: Oscar nominees Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill star in this fact-based 2011 baseball drama (9 p.m. Starz).

Baseball: The Angels visit the New York Yankees (10 a.m. Fox) and the Dodgers play the San Diego Padres (6 p.m. FS Prime).
