The Eagles of Death Metal, the band performing last month when terrorists stormed into the Bataclan concert hall in Paris and killed more than 80 audience members, will resume its European tour and return for a Paris show in February.

The Southland band will resume its tour Feb. 13 in Stockholm and is slated to include a return to Paris for a performance Feb. 16 at the Olympia Theatre.

“The people of Paris have always been incredible to us, and our feeling of love towards this beautiful city and its people has been reinforced a million times over this past month,” front man Jesse Hughes said in a statement.

“Hearing the stories of the survivors, the injured and those who have lost loved ones has been overwhelming,” Hughes said. “Not returning to finish our set was never an option. We look forward to coming back in February and continuing our mission to bring rock ‘n’ roll to the world.”

Fans who were at the Nov. 13 show at the Bataclan are being offered free tickets to the Olympia performance. They are being instructed to contact their original ticket vendor to claim the ticket for the rescheduled show.

Those who held tickets for other stops on the Nos Amis Tour will be given priority for buying tickets for the new dates. Tickets for the original dates were refunded.

The tour includes stops in 13 countries. In addition, the Southland heavy metal band has scheduled performances at festivals in Reading and Leeds in Britain for Aug. 26-28.

Eagles of Death Metal joined U2 on stage during the Irish band’s recent two-day stint in Paris.
