SUNDAY

Knock, knock. Who’s there? “The one who knocks,” of course. And that’d be meth-maker Walter White (Bryan Cranston, above), back and badder than ever when the drug-themed drama “Breaking Bad” launches its fifth and final season. (AMC, 10 p.m.)

A likely story: The wife of a former U.S. president runs for the Oval Office herself, loses, but is then appointed secretary of State by the new president in the six-part drama “Political Animals.” With Sigourney Weaver and Adrian Pasdar. (USA, 10 p.m.)

MONDAY

Two words — “Hello, Dolly!” — and chances are the voice you in hear in your head belting that classic tune belongs to none other than the Broadway legend profiled in the 2011 documentary “Carol Channing: Larger Than Life.” (Showtime, 6:30 p.m.)

TUESDAY

Reports of its demise were somewhat exaggerated as, for now at least, “The L.A. Complex” is back. So yay! Because we really took a shine to this sunny-yet-gritty Canadian import about fresh-faced showbiz dreamers and schemers. (KTLA, 9 p.m.)

WEDNESDAY

It’s all about relations, or rather lack of same, on a new edition of “Virgin Diaries.” And it’s all about relationships, specifically the oft-contentious mother-daughter kind, in the new reality series “Mama Drama.” (TLC, 10 p.m.; VH1, 11 p.m.)

THURSDAY

Don’t mix plaids with stripes. That’s the only fashion rule we know, but host Heidi Klum, mentor Tim Gunn, et al. will surely have much more expert advice when the design competition “Project Runway” returns for a 10th season. (Lifetime, 9 p.m.)

FRIDAY

Scandalicious! Barbara Stanwyck is called “Shopworn,” makes a measly “Ten Cents a Dance,” and engages in affairs both “Illicit” and “Forbidden” in this quartet of melodramas from the good old “pre-Code” era of the early 1930s. (TCM, 5, 6:15, 7:45 and 9:15 p.m.)

SATURDAY

You’re looking a little pekid. Let me feel your forehead. Uh-oh. Hopefully you don’t have what’s ailing folks all around the globe in director Steven Soderbergh’s 2011 pandemic thriller “Contagion.” With Kate Winslet, above. (HBO, 8 p.m.)
