Whitney: In the course of trying to figure out what’s aggravating Alex’s (Chris D’Elia) allergies, Whitney (Whitney Cummings) discloses that she’s had a heart problem since childhood. Zoe Lister-Jones, Dan O’Brien and Rhea Seehorn also star in this new episode (8 p.m. NBC).

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: When a Suffolk county prosecutor (Jane Kaczmarek) tries a rape victim for murder, Detective Benson (Mariska Hargitay) questions the case and finds enough evidence for Barba (Raul Esparza) to charge a different suspect in Manhattan, in this new episode of the police procedural drama (9 p.m. NBC).

Nova: The new episode “Decoding Neanderthals” explores what happened when the first modern humans encountered Neanderthals 60,000 years ago (9 p.m. KOCE).

Chicago Fire: Severide (Terry Kinney) finally tells the Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) about his injuries, while Casey (Jesse Spencer) deals with family issues. Monica Raymund and Lauren German also star in this new episode (10 p.m. NBC).

60 Minutes Sports: This new monthly sports newsmagazine is a spin-off of the CBS series “60 Minutes.” Armen Keteyian serves as investigative reporter (10 p.m. Showtime).

Stars in Danger: The High Dive: This two-hour special finds eight celebrities engaging in an intense training period, then competing in a series of Olympic-style dives.
