Comedy Central renews ‘Inside Amy Schumer’ for another season

Share

Monday night, Amy Schumer was on stage at the Ed Sullivan Theater taking the opportunity to shock David Letterman one last time with her inventive name for her surfing scar. But she was also celebrating, since she’d just learned her Comedy Central show, “Inside Amy Schumer,” was coming back for a fourth season.

The third season of Schumer’s sketch comedy series premieres Tuesday night.

This is definitely Schumer’s moment. She just hosted the MTV Movie Awards, her series just won a Peabody Award and her first star vehicle, “Trainwreck,” opens in theaters this July.

She also made Time’s annual list of the 100 most influential people.

Schumer co-created, writes for, executive produces and stars in the sketch series, which was nominated for an Emmy last year.

The renewal, ahead of the show’s third season premiere, is a show of great support by Comedy Central.
