The Golden Globes wasn’t the only thing going on in Los Angeles over the weekend. On Saturday, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts hosted a “Downton Abbey”-style tea party for nominees. The cream fashion trend was seen there, too, notably in the cream and silver cocktail outfit by Vionnet worn by Amanda Seyfried. Her “Les Miserables” co-stars Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Eddie Redmayne and Helena Bonham Carter were also in attendance, along with a host of other film and television heavyweights. On Saturday night, much of young Hollywood turned out for the Art of Elysium’s annual Heaven gala. The event took place in downtown L.A.’s Second Street tunnel, which Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood had transformed with a giant eye that projected images of sea and sky. The Missoni menswear collection for 2013 was shown in Milan as scheduled Sunday, even while searchers continued to look for the plane that disappeared off the coast of Venezuela on Jan. 4 carrying company executive Vittorio Missoni and his wife.
