Beefsteak Sundays, Chop Daddy’s in Culver City, $2 hot cocoa

Beginning Sunday at Bacari PDR and Jan. 25 at Bacaro L.A., both restaurants will offer a “beefsteak Sundays” dinner special. The special takes place Sundays from 5 to 10 p.m. and includes all-you-can-eat grilled hanger steak, oven-roasted potatoes, onion rings and toasted baguette for $35. Dinner also comes with bottomless house red, white and sparkling wine, house beer and sangria. Chop Daddy’s, the Venice spot known for its sandwiches stuffed with smoked BBQ meat and ribs, is opening part of a new location in Culver City on Monday. Before the full, 50-seat restaurant is expected to open in summer, Chop Daddy’s will open a lunch window serving a limited menu from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday. 9552 Washington Blvd., Culver City, www.chopdaddys.com.
The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is debuting a line of Mexican chocolate drinks Tuesday. To celebrate, guests can order any 12-ounce Mexican hot chocolate for $2 each, from 2 to 6 p.m. The drinks include a Mexican hot chocolate, Mexican chocolate latte and Mexican chocolate ice blended drink. Guests at participating locations will also be able to order churro toast, made with a baked wheat loaf topped with cinnamon and crunchy cinnamon sugar, for $2.50.
