Dine L.A. restaurant week, also known as your chance to try some of the city’s most popular restaurants on a budget, returns in January.

The bi-annual event, presented by the L.A. Tourism and Convention Board, will take place Jan. 18-31. More than 300 restaurants are expected to participate by offering diners specially priced lunch and dinner menus.

During those two weeks, expect a $39 dinner at Alimento, a $49 dinner at Craft and a $15 lunch at Night Market.

New this year is the Exclusive Series by Premiere Rewards Gold Card from American Express, which will include menus from select yet-to-be-named restaurants, that start at $95.

There will also be a new charitable component. For every seated reservation made through www.discoverLosAngeles.com/dineLA, $1 will be donated to the Midnight Mission, a local nonprofit that helps the homeless.
