Holiday Cookie Bake-Off: Vote now for your favorites! Figdoodle anyone?

Share

Here’s your chance to take part in the fourth annual Los Angeles Times Holiday Cookie Bake-Off, even if you’re not a baker. We have more than 250 entries to choose from and we need your votes to help us pick this year’s winners. Visit our Facebook page and vote for your favorite cookies.

If you’re curious about some of the entries, check out the Cubicle Christmas Cookies from Shana Elson of Los Angeles. She writes:

“As a transplant to Los Angeles from the east coast who is Jewish, I rarely travel home over the holidays. Inevitably, a friend’s family will take me in as their step-Jew on Christmas day. I enjoy the opportunity to partake in the fun. I developed these cookies because I’ve come to love figs since moving to California and to make sure I get invited back to the celebration year after year.

Voting ends at midnight Dec. 2, then we’ll test and taste the 50 cookies that received the most votes at Le Cordon Bleu cooking school in Pasadena to come up with the top 10.

We’ll take those top 10 cookies and test them in the L.A. Times Test Kitchen. The finalists will be invited to the Los Angeles Times for a tour of the Test Kitchen, and will be photographed and featured in a Saturday section article during the holidays.
