Some places where you can try wines on tap:

Bäco Mercat

This popular downtown L.A. restaurant has just one wine on tap, but it’s a terrific one: Alta Maria 2013 “Carbonic” Pinot Noir made in the style of Beaujolais, $13 a glass.

BO-beau Kitchen & Roof Tap

The Long Beach spot has 46 beers on tap from $7 to $12, two keg cocktails and two wines on tap, both whites, Farrier Wine Co. Andiron Semillon from Sonoma and a Vesper Vineyards Alcalá white blend (Marsanne/Roussanne) from Ramona Valley near San Diego. Why just whites? Because the keg setup keeps a cooler temperature.

Everson Royce

The Pasadena shop has eight wine taps. The selection changes often and right now includes Matthiasson Chardonnay, Fiction White (mostly Pinot Gris) from Andrew Jones up in Paso Robles, a Grenache-Syrah-Mourvedre blend Doug Margerum makes just for kegs and Almanac Zinfandel from Arroyo Grande Valley. Glasses run $4 to $9; a flight of any three, $12.

Father’s Office

Sang Yoon was the first in L.A. (and quite possibly the country) to offer wines on tap at this, his second Father’s Office. Right now, four of his eight taps are dispensing Giornata Pinot Grigio “Il Campo Bianco,” Melville Estate Chardonnay, Jackhammer Pinot Noir and Holus Bolus Syrah. Glasses, $12 to $13; carafes, $28 to $32.

Lukshon

Sang Yoon’s Southeast Asian restaurant just down the street from Father’s Office has a fully electronic setup for wines on tap. Some of the wines poured right now include Tatomer Grüner Veltliner, Palmina Arneis “Honea Vineyard,” Dancing Coyote Verdelho and Hitching Post “Pinks” rosé. Glasses, $8 to $12; carafes, $22 to $33.

Lyfe Kitchen

This casual small chain with a focus on fresh food made with local organic ingredients offers six wines on tap, including (at the Culver City location) King Estate Pinot Gris from Oregon, Simi Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc and Sanford Chardonnay Santa Rita Hills. The red lineup includes Beckmen Vineyards Cuvee Le Bec, Au Bon Climat Pinot Noir and Simi Cabernet Sauvignon. Glasses, $7.99 to $9.99; carafes, $21.95 to $26.95.

Mohawk Bend

The pub in Echo Park has 72 beer taps and six wine taps, all California. It generally serves three reds and three whites, and, in summer, one of those whites is a rose. Wines served now are Cultivar Cabernet Sauvignon, a red blend from Old Vine, District Seven Pinot, Sauvignon Blanc from Long Meadow Ranch, Chardonnay from Camp Vineyard and a rosé from Giornato. The restaurant touts its small environmental footprint by selling nothing in bottles. Glasses of wine, $10 to $13; carafes, $38 to $50.

Simmzy’s

Spin the Bottle Wine Studio

The Toluca Lake retailer and wine bar has six wines on tap right now: Skylark Pinot Blanc from Mendocino, Giornato Il Campo Tocai Friulano, Chehalem Willamette Valley Chardonnay, and in red, Copain Syrah/Mourvedre Anderson Valley (only available by keg), Folk Machine Pinot Noir Central Coast and Hobo Wine Co. Workbook Blend (Grenache/Syrah, Carignane) from Sonoma. Glasses, $8 to $12.

The busy Westside restaurant always has four reds and four whites on tap, including right now Melville Pinot Noir and Frog’s Leap Cabernet, and in whites, Brewer-Clifton Chardonnay and Miner Viognier from Napa Valley. Glasses, $9 to $14; carafes, $27 to $42.

This shop at the new Santa Barbara Public Market pours eight wines on tap, some local and some from the Sonoma Coast. Right now, they include Brander Los Olivos Au Naturel Sauvignon Blanc, Brewer-Clifton Chardonnay, Palmina Arneis, Melville Viognier and Au Bon Climat Pinot Noir. Glasses, $8 to $12.

Just across from Blue Bottle coffee (the former Handsome Coffee) in the arts district, this branch of the O.C. Zinc Cafe goes all day with four wines on tap. At the moment, they are Tolosa Winery Chardonnay, Tablas Creek Patelin de Tablas Blanc, Lioco Kush Blend (primarily Carignane from Mendocino) and Cultivar Cabernet from Napa Valley.
