CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION

Second Round

Chatsworth d. Garfield, 25-6, 25-11, 25-9
Ramsey Darling and Jeff Grella each had nine kills, Sean Freeark had eight kills and Collin Parker added 31 assists to lead No. 1 seeded Chatsworth (15-0) past No. 9 seeded Garfield (11-3).

Granada Hills d. Taft, 25-20, 25-20, 25-23
Kris Manansala had 17 kills, Velimir Lesikov added eight kills, and Brian Cha had 35 assists for host Granada Hills (12-3). Taft finishes the season at 10-5.

L.A. University d. Palisades, 25-16, 25-17, 25-19
Farid Saffari had 38 assists, Victor Guillen had 10 kills and 12 blocks, and David Anderson added seven kills and six blocks for host L.A. University (13-1).

Venice d. Grant, 24-26, 25-22, 23-25, 25-22, 15-10
Khoa Tran had 10 kills and 25 digs, Lorenzo D'Amico had 13 kills, 5 blocks and 19 digs and Khang Tran added seven kills and 18 digs to lead host and No. 4 seed Venice (13-2) past No. 5-seeded Grant (14-1).

INVITATIONAL DIVISION

Quarterfinals

Bell d. North Hollywood, 27-25, 15-25, 25-17, 24-26, 15-7
Salomon Lopez had eight kills and Efrain Barajas had five blocks for host Bell (8-5).

Belmont d. Van Nuys, 25-22, 18-25, 27-25, 17-25, 17-15
Host Belmont is 10-5. Van Nuys finishes at 4-11.

Reseda d. Eagle Rock, 23-25, 18-25, 25-18, 25-22, 15-11
Jagroop Toor had 21 kills and Philip Nguyen had 16 kills to lead host Reseda (12-3).

Chatsworth d. Westchester, 25-11, 25-9, 25-16
Sean Freeark and Robert Pate each had 11 kills, Jeff Grella had eight kills and Collin Parker had 31 assists for host No. 1-seeded Chatsworth (14-0), which is the two-time defending city champions.

Garfield d. Sylmar, 25-21, 25-22, 23-25, 16-25, 15-10
Outside hitter Javier Oliver had 19 kills and 24 digs, outside hitter Steve Monreal had 18 kills, 15 digs and three aces and setter Angel Ramirez had 47 assists for visiting Garfield (11-2). Middle blocker Jacob Shelton had 14 kills and nine blocks and setter Christ Thomas had 48 assists and 10 blocks for Sylmar (10-4).

Granada Hills d. Fairfax, 25-13, 25-15, 25-13
Kris Manansala had 13 kills, Trevor Westmoreland had eight kills and Brian Cha had 30 assists to lead host No. 3-seeded Granada Hills (11-3) past No. 14-seeded Fairfax (4-10).

Grant d. Narbonne, 21-25, 25-16, 225-20, 25-19
Outside hitter Edcel Pascual had 21 kills, outside hitter Syed Shamsudoha had 11 kills, middle blocker Anthony Charleston had 10 kills and six blocks and setter J.C. Sitchon had 34 assists for host Grant (14-0). Narbonne is 10-4.

L.A. University d. Huntington Park, 25-19, 25-11, 25-16
Victor Guillen had 19 blocks and 12 kills and Ralph Johnson had 12 blocks and nine kills for host No. 2-seeded L.A. University (12-1).

Palisades d. San Pedro, 25-10, 25-22, 25-19
Rusty Barneson had 33 assists, Brett Vegas had 11 digs and Jason Schall had 10 kills to lead host No. 7-seeded Palisades (10-5). No. 10-seeded San Pedro finished 9-5.

Venice d. Granada Hills Kennedy, 25-23, 25-13, 25-23
Farhad Noorzay had 14 kills and 21 assists and Raul Perez had four kills and 27 assists for host Venice (12-2, 8-2).

Bell d. Sun Valley Poly, 25-21, 22-25, 25-15, 25-15
Carlos Guzman had five kills to lead host Bell (6-6).

Belmont d. Birmingham, 25-16, 25-18, 25-13
Belmont is 9-5.

Eagle Rock d. Hollywood, 25-17, 25-21, 25-11
Jonel DeLosReyes had 21 kills and four aces to lead host Eagle Rock (8-5).

Monroe d. Carson, 21-25, 25-21, 25-23, 23-25, 15-11
Middle blocker/outside hitter David Niko-Auga had 20 kills and two blocks, senior outside hitter Jovan Magno had five kills, 27 digs and an ace and setter Pele Kayo had 30 assists, four digs and two aces for host Carson (8-6). Monroe is 7-9.

Van Nuys d. Verdugo Hills, 25-21, 25-22, 22-25, 22-25, 19-17
Roland Burns had 17 kills and three aces, Eugene Koh had eight kills and four blocks and Edward Kim had eight kills and three aces to lead visiting Van Nuys (4-10). James Shon added eight kills, Josh Lara had 10 kills and Matthew Pak had 15 assists for Van Nuys. . Edvard Aydinyan had 16 kills and five blocks, Steve Becerra had 14 kills and 15 digs, Gabriel Nguyen and Gio Rodriguez each had 10 kills and 15 digs and Paolo Rodriguez had 48 assists for host Verdugo Hills (10-4).
