No. 2 singles player Kristi Kim of Westridge defeated Webb’s No. 3 player, 6-1, to clinch the victory for the Tigers (3-1, 1-0) in a match at Pasadena Racquet Center.

Kim’s decisive victory was her only one of the day, and the No. 1 doubles team of Charlotte King and Mimi Wang, 6-4, 6-0, 6-1, to remain unbeaten on the season.

Kelsey Stevens and Kaitlyn Johnson swept at No. 2 doubles, 6-2, 7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (7-5), including a match-clinching victory for Fullerton (5-0) over the No. 1 doulbes team from Rowland (2-1)

Tanya Mahtani and Rika Tatsuno each won three sets at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively for Peninsula (3-0), the defending Southern Section Division I champion.

Mahtani won, 6-3, 6-1, 6-0, and Tatsuno won her sets, 6-4, 6-0, 6-4.

Erica Schweyer and Paige Weber won three sets, 6-1, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 1 doubles for the Panthers.

Elizabeth Carpenter and Natalie McNall each swept their three sets while losing only one game to lead host Maranatha to the victory. Maranatha (2-2, 2-0) clinched the win when No. 3 singles player Carla Yee defeated CAMS’ Gabriele Newman, 6-2, in the final round of play.

Garden Grove 10, Los Amigos 8
Tina Tran won three sets, 6-0, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 1 singles for host Garden Grove (1-4, 1-0 in league). The No. 2 doubles team of Vivian Do and Leinah Tran defeated Los Amigos’ No. 3 doubles team, 6-4, to record the decisive set for the Argonauts.

Evelyn Wallace and Linh Hoang swept at first and second singles and all three doubles teams swept as well for Costa Mesa (2-2, 2-1). Wallace won, 6-2, 6-0, 6-2, and Hoang won, 6-3, 6-0, 7-6.

No. 1 singles player Anna Higane won all three matches without losing a game and No. 1 doubles team Lisa Li and Alda Karic swept, 6-3, 6-0, 6-3 to lead visiting Arcadia (3-0).

Jill Damien won all three of her singles matches, including a 7-6 victory over Alison Ramos and a 6-4 win over Clare Fermin to lead Corona del Mar at Troy. Jill Braverman, the Sailors’ No. 2 singles player, also defeated Fermin, 6-3. Corona del Mar also got a strong effort from the doubles team of Allie Walters and Miranda Young, which won its three matches.

Edison 15, Irvine 3
Vali Bonev swept 6-0, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles for Edison (3-2) at Irvine (0-4).

El Modena 18, Orange Lutheran 0
No. 1 singles player Lisa Hardebeck and the No. 1 doubles team of Paige Suica and Annemarie Pimentel each won three sets by 6-0 scores for host El Modena (3-0).

Fountain Valley 13, Rosary 5
Host Fountain Valley (3-0) was powered by its No. 1 doubles team of Amy Nguyen and Celia Troung, which won its three matches by scores of 6-2, 6-0 and 6-2. Brooke Bartlett, the Barons’ No. 1 singles player, dropped only one game in her three wins. Rosary fell to 1-3.

Leslie Craddock and Emme Duncan swept, 6-4, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 3 doubles for host Fullerton (4-0).

The No. 2 doubles team of Laura Akley and Andrea Gard and the No. 3 team of Tiffany Nguyen and Britain Fleming each won three sets by 6-0 scores for Mira Costa (8-1) in a nonleague match at El Segundo.

Tori Fachner swept at No. 1 singles while her sister, Tawni, teamed with doubles partner Chelsea Albers to win all three of their matches for Ontario Christian (4-0) in its close victory at Chino.

Oxford Academy (2-1) swept all nine doubles sets to key the nonleague victory. Ginnie Kim and Elaine Kim took their No. 1 doubles sets, 6-1, 6-0, 6-1. Emily Choi and Patty Lyu swept at No. 2 doubles, 6-1, 6-3, 6-0. Chanel Perez and Diana Lee swept, 6-4, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 3 doubles. Belinda Luarca of Loara (0-1) only lost one game in sweeping at No. 1 singles.

Palm Desert 9, King 9 (Palm Desert win on games, 81-72)
Brittany Blalock of Palm Desert (2-0), playing No. 1 singles, swept, 6-0, 6-0, 6-1 against visiting King (3-1).The Aztecs’ No. 2 team of Maddy Jacobs and Manja Jerkic won their third-round set against King’s No. 3 doubles team, 6-1, to pull the Aztecs into the 9-9 tie and give them a chance to win on games.

Savanna 13, La Palma Kennedy 5
No. 1 singles player Bianca Tobias swept, 6-1, 6-1, 6-1, Jully Jose took her No. 3 singles sets, 6-4, 6-3, 6-0 and No. 1 doubles team Quynh Ngo and Hanhtien Nguyen swept, 6-2, 6-0, 6-2 for host Savanna (2-1).

Host Villanova (3-0) won eight of nine doubles sets to earn the nonleague victory. Niamh Daly and Alexandra Gibbs swept, 6-1, 6-0, 6-1, and Katie Austin and Theresa Meler swept, 6-4, 6-2, 6-0, for Villanova. Allie Limon swept, 6-3, 6-0, 6-3, at No. 1 singles for St. Bonaventure.

Host Peninsula has not lost in its last 25 matches, the last loss coming in the 2002 CIF Division I quarterfinals to Corona del Mar (2-1).

No. 1 doubles Tiffany Kang and Cindy Ung swept, 6-0, 6-1, 6-3 to lead visiting Schurr (2-0).
