Water disputes: In the Oct. 15 Business section, an article about legal fights over water systems included a quote from a California Court of Appeal decision about monopolists being unpopular and King George III’s “chokehold” on government. A subsequent court order left the judgment in the case involving Golden State Water Co. and the Casitas Municipal Water District intact but deleted the language quoted.

Preparing for El Niño: In the Oct. 17 Saturday section, an article about how to prepare for El Niño gave an incorrect Web address for the California Department of Water Resources. The correct address is www.FloodPrepareCA.com.

Jail beating case: In the Oct. 17 California section, an article about the indictment of a former sheriff’s deputy accused of helping to cover up a jailhouse beating misspelled the name of the federal prosecutor in the case. She is Lizabeth Rhodes, not Elizabeth.

Mike Rugnetta: In the Oct. 18 Calendar section, an article about Idea Channel writer-host Mike Rugnetta gave the title of one of his videos as “Is BEMO From Adventure Time Expressive of Feminism?” The title is “Is BMO From Adventure Time Expressive of Feminism?” In addition, the article referred to vlogger Hank Green as Henry Green.
