Voter fraud case: An article in the Jan. 29 LATExtra section about the conviction of state Sen. Roderick D. Wright on perjury and voter fraud charges included a reference to Wright’s “common-law stepmother.” The state of California does not recognize common-law marriages. A reference to “common-law stepmother” was also included in an article about Wright’s case in the Jan. 27 LATExtra section.

High school basketball: A headline on an article in the Feb. 2 Sports section on the Nike Extravaganza basketball tournament said point guards from Etiwanda and St. John Bosco led their teams to victories. The headline should have said point guards from Etiwanda and Corona Centennial.

Dodgers: An article in the Feb. 2 Sports section on when the Dodgers’ Matt Kemp’s may return to action said the opening game for the Dodgers domestically is April 1 against the Padres in San Diego. The domestic opener is March 30 at San Diego.

Golf: The Day in Sports roundup in the Jan. 30 Sports section said golfer Phil Mickelson was not going to play in the Northern Trust Open because it conflicted with the school schedule of the oldest of his three daughters. Mickelson has two daughters and a son.
