Earthquake: 3.0 quake strikes near Port Hueneme
A shallow magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported Wednesday afternoon 18 miles from Port Hueneme, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 3:56 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 0 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 20 miles from Oxnard Shores, 22 miles from Oxnard, 26 miles from Ventura and 344 miles from Sacramento.
In the past 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
