Earthquake: Magnitude 4.2 quake strikes near Ojai
A shallow magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck the Ojai Valley early Saturday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 12:42 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 0 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 11 miles east of Ojai, 12 miles north of Santa Paula and 19 miles northeast of Ventura.
In the past 10 days, there has been one earthquake of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
