Multi-vehicle crash on 605 Freeway forces closure of several lanes, creates traffic jam
A multi-vehicle crash on the 605 Freeway near Long Beach closed several lanes along a stretch of the southbound highway and snarled traffic for commuters early Monday.
The crash was reported shortly before 8 a.m. and involved at least five vehicles near Wardlow Road, according to California Highway Patrol logs.
It is not clear whether anyone was injured.
CHP said the carpool lane is open, but the rest of the lanes are closed as authorities clear the crash. Traffic is backed up to the 91 Freeway.
