Body found in burned downtown L.A. building
Firefighters discovered a body in a downtown Los Angeles business after extinguishing a fire in the building Saturday morning, authorities said.
The fire ripped through the building located in the 700 block of East 9th Place shortly before 7 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The victim found inside was not immediately identified.
The cause of the victim’s death and the fire remain under investigation.
