LAPD helicopter makes precautionary landing at school used in ‘Glee’

A Los Angeles Police Department helicopter made a “precautionary” landing at a Hollywood high school early Friday, officials said, apparently after a warning sensor went off.
The sensor went off about 4:15 a.m., prompting the pilot to land the aircraft as a precaution, KTLA reported. No injuries were reported.
The helicopter was still on the field at Helen Bernstein High School in the 1300 block of North Wilton Place as of 7 a.m. as maintenance crews were tending to the airship.
The helicopter was not responding to a crime at the time of the landing, LAPD Officer Sally Madera said.
There was no immediate word on whether the helicopter would affect classes or activities at the school, which has been used as a filming location for the television show “Glee.”
The incident is the second emergency landing of a police helicopter in a week. On Oct. 10, an LAPD chopper was forced to land at Harvard Park, CBS2 reported.
