Grease-hauling truck overturns, blocks 710 Freeway offramp
A 50,000-pound truck hauling used grease overturned Wednesday in East L.A., blocking the southbound 3rd Street offramp of the 710 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The truck overturned about 6:20 a.m. on the offramp, said California Highway Patrol Officer Jennifer Cassidy.
A CHP report said none of the used grease appeared to have spilled from the truck. No injuries were reported.
The offramp was closed as a result but traffic lanes on the 710 were not affected, Cassidy said. She described the truck as a two-axle tanker.
A message posted on Sigalert.com citing an “overturned septic truck” warned that traffic was slow from the 60 Freeway.
