A driver struck at least a dozen people on the Venice boardwalk early Saturday evening, injuring two of them critically and two seriously, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 6 p.m. near the boardwalk’s intersection with Dudley Avenue, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
It was not immediately clear what the extent of all the injuries was, but radio chatter from the LAFD spoke about cuts and scrapes to someone’s foot and the need to transport the critically injured to the hospital.
The injured are “all believed to have been pedestrians on the boardwalk,” according to an alert from the LAFD.
