Homicide detectives investigate death of woman in Compton

Sheriff’s homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman in Compton.
Authorities were called to the 400 block of South Pannes Avenue at 10:53 p.m. Monday after reports of a woman who died.
The woman, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesman for the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department said early Tuesday morning that so far there were few details in the case and the investigation was ongoing.
