Drowning death of Valinda child under investigation
Homicide detectives Saturday were investigating the death of an 8-month-old baby who drowned at a home in Valinda, authorities said.
The drowning was reported at about 8:50 a.m. Friday in the 1500 block of Pass and Covina Road, according to Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials.
The baby was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.
The child’s name and sex were not released.
