Readers React: Creative thinking for the Great Park

Share

To the editor: What about engaging a university’s landscape architecture department to develop plans for the park as a series of student projects, in exchange for a reasonable consulting fee to the department? ( “Great Park rift escalates,” Aug. 24)

Rather than thinking about selling off chunks of the park to pay for the development of the remaining areas, this park needs to be seen as a 100-year project.

Meanwhile, plant California live oaks and fence off a huge dog park. Dog owners will love it, and by the time there’s money to do more, the oaks will be full grown.
