Gilbert’s anti-LeBron letter removed from Cavs’ website

They say that time heals all wounds.

Or maybe it’s the prospect of getting a four-time NBA MVP back on your roster.

Either way, something has moved Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert to finally remove his open letter to local fans dissing departed superstar LeBron James from his team’s website.

You know, the one Gilbert posted soon after James announced his decision to bolt from the Cavaliers to the Miami Heat nearly four years ago and kept up there ever since?

The one where Gilbert personally guaranteed the Cavs would win an NBA title before James (oops)?

The one where the owner used the words “narcissistic,” “cowardly,” “selfishness,” “disloyalty,” “heartless,” “callous” and “betrayal” in talking about his former player and his actions?

Yeah, that one. Not quite the thing Gilbert probably wants out there anymore, you know, now that James is a free agent again and is said to be considering a return to his hometown team.

So, poof! The letter, and apparently all the bitterness contained therein, is gone, nowhere to be found on the Cavaliers’ website.

Well done, Gilbert. Let’s just hope LeBron has forgotten all about it or never even saw it in the first place.

Don’t worry, we won’t tell.
