Baseball: Sherman Oaks Notre Dame pulls out 3-2 win in 16 innings

Share

It was very smart of Sherman Oaks Notre Dame to put in lights a couple years ago when it opened its new stadium. Only lights made possible for Tuesday’s Mission League game against Alemany to go on and on.

The Knights finally won it in the 16th inning, 3-2, when Hunter Greene scored on an error.

Starter Daniel Ritcheson of Alemany limited the Knights to one run in eight innings. Deandre Carter of Notre Dame allowed one run in eight innings of relief.

Ryan McNab of Notre Dame delivered the clutch hit of the night, a two-out, two-strike home run in the bottom of the 11th to keep the game going.
