Football: Hawkins plays Dorsey in Coliseum League matchup
- Share via
There’s a lot happening on Thursday night, but there shouldn’t be a better high school football game than Hawkins (6-0) taking on Dorsey (4-2) for first place in the Coliseum League at Jackie Robinson Stadium.
Hawkins has all kinds of skill-position players, from receivers Jalen Hall and Joseph Lewis to quarterback Dylan Lemle. But the game could be decided in the trenches. Someone is going to have to block Dorsey sophomore Kayvon Thibodeaux, who has been causing havoc.
Hawkins has really had three weeks off. There was a forfeit win, a bye and then an easy win over Locke. The Hawks will get to prove their ability with a three-week stretch of playing Dorsey, Los Angeles and Crenshaw before entering the Division II playoffs.
