It’s as simple as turning a switch and the light goes on. It’s routine. The same goes for playing running back at Corona Centennial.

It’s routine that the next guy up succeeds, and Miles Reed is the latest top back for the Huskies.

He has rushed for 1,110 yards and 17 touchdowns in six games. Yes, having an effective offensive line helps (just ask UCLA), but year after year, Centennial keeps producing top backs such as J.J. Taylor (Arizona) and Tre Watson (California).

But Centennial doesn’t just run the ball. Junior quarterback Tanner McKee has lived up to expectations. He has completed 65%l of his passes for 1,675 yards and 16 touchdowns and run for 329 yards and nine touchdowns.

Defensively, Cameron Pitcher is averaging 10 tackles a game. Jaylan Shaw has three interceptions.
