Football: QB Jake Browning of Folsom is Gatorade state player of the year

Quarterback Jake Browning of Folsom has been named the Gatorade state player of the year in football.

He has led Folsom to a 13-0 record and spot in the Division I Sac-Joaquin Section championship game.

Browning has passed for 4,652 yards and a single-season state record 76 touchdowns. He signed with Washington.
