Girls’ volleyball: Yaasmeen Bedart-Ghani is Gatorade state player of the year

Yaasmeen Bedart-Ghani of Redondo has been named the Gatorade state player of the year in girls’ volleyball.
The 6-foot-4 outside hitter led Redondo to a 39-2 record and the state Division I championship. She had 483 kills and 82 blocks.
She has signed with Texas and is the sister of former Loyola basketball players Khaliq and Khalil Bedart-Ghani who are at Yale and San Diego, respectively.
