Local players headed to Florida with the help of USA Baseball and MLB

USA Baseball, in cooperation with MLB, is funding the costs for a group of baseball players ages 15 to 17 to particpate in the Perfect Game “Underclass World Championship” beginning Thursday in Ft. Myers, Fla.
They come from diverse backgrounds from around the county
They include from Southern California first baseman Cole Andavolgui of North Torrance; pitcher Kelvin Bender of Gardena Serra; outfielder Nolan Brown of Long Beach Poly; second baseman Damone Hale of Gardena Serra, and pitcher Yuji Sakane of Temple City.
