Matt Harvey says he will pitch in the postseason if the New York Mets get there.

After a two-day uproar over his innings limit this year, Harvey wrote Sunday on “The Players’ Tribune” that he will be ready to participate if the Mets make the playoffs.

He said he is communicating with his doctor, agent and the Mets to come up with a plan that makes him available in October. Harvey said it will be a compromise between doctors and the Mets, and he “can assure everyone that we’re all on the same page.”

The right-hander, in his first season back from elbow ligament-replacement surgery, said he understands the risks of going beyond 180 innings this year.

Spectators hit by foul ball at Marlins game

An elderly couple was struck by a foul ball in the sixth inning of the game bertween the Mets and host Miami Marlins.

A line drive off the bat of New York slugger Yoenis Cespedes went about 200 feet down the left-field line. It first struck a woman above her right eye and then got her husband on top of his head.

The couple, who did not want to be identified, was taken to the first-aid station at Marlins Park. They were released during the game and did not return to their seats.
