Galaxy to play Monarcas Morelia in CONACAF Champions League game
Galaxy vs. Monarcas Morelia
When: 5 p.m
Where: Morelia, Mexico.
On the air: TV: Fox Soccer Channel
Galaxy record in CONACAF Champions League: 2-0-0.
Update: L.A. has momentum, winning five of six overall, including its first two CONACAF Champions League games, but both of those wins came at home. Winning in the heart of Mexico against one of its most storied teams will be a much bigger challenge: MLS teams have won just twice in their last 26 games when facing Mexican teams in Mexico. Morelia, the 2010 SuperLiga champion, is making its Champions League debut this season, and is 1-1 with three points thus far in CL play, putting it tied for second place in Group A with LD Alajuelense. L.A. has six points and is in first place in Group A.
