Where: L.A. Tennis Center at UCLA.
Whom to watch: Last year’s champion, Ernests Gulbis, is not competing in this year’s tournament, but the 2009 and 2010 champion, Sam Querrey, is looking for his third Farmers Classic singles title. The 2007 runner-up, James Blake, returns and is still searching for his first tournament singles title, and rising stars such as Steve Johnson look to take hold of the tournament themselves.
Fast fact: Now in its 86th year, the Farmers Classic is the longest-running professional sporting event in Los Angeles.
