Does Chad Ochocinco know where he’ll be playing next?
It appears Chad Ochocinco’s tenure as a free agent could be brief judging by his tweets.
A day after being released by the New England Patriots, Ochocinco let all of his Twitter followers know things are looking up for him:
Wow that was fast.... I love life...— Chad Ochocinco (@ochocinco) June 8, 2012
Feels good to land on two feet no matter what... Very excited... Man y’all won’t believe how good GOD is...— Chad Ochocinco (@ochocinco) June 8, 2012
Granted, he could be talking about almost anything (and he tweets about almost everything), but it seems that Ochocinco could be on his way to a new home in the NFL very soon.
The 34-year-old wide receiver didn’t see much playing time during his only season in New England, but there are several teams out there who could use a guy like Ochocinco to supplement their receiving corps.
The question is whether those teams are ready to take on some of the extra baggage that comes with Ochocinco. His reputation as an off-the-field distraction could end up being a big price to pay for any team that would sign a player whose skill set has diminished in recent years.
Still, judging by his tweets, it looks as though at least one team is willing to give Ochocinco another chance.
