Worst NBA layup of all time? Nick Young airballs his attempt
Every young basketball players dreams about it.
It’s the fourth quarter, there’s two seconds left in a tied game and the ball is passed to you. Nothing but net.
Well, this is the other scenario.
You know, the one you had nightmares about.
You’re wide open. You shoot a layup. Airball.
That’s what happened to Washington Wizards guard Nick Young while playing against the Lakers on Wednesday evening.
Instead of giving his team an easy two points, he launched the ball over the backboard.
Young had the last laugh, however. He led the Wizards with 19 points and helped them overcome a 21-point deficit to upset the Lakers, 106-101.
