Prep football championship games

Friday

Corona Centennial (12-1) at Vista Murrieta (13-0), 7 p.m. (FS West): Centennial is seeking its seventh title in 12 years in the Inland Division final. Quarterback Robert Webber has passed for 3,091 yards and 33 touchdowns. Running backs Tre Watson and Austin Renken have each rushed for more than 1,000 yards. Vista Murrieta’s defense, led by Su’a Cravens and Bryce Smith, has given up just 22 points in three playoff victories. Quarterback Nick Stevens led the Broncos to last season’s 35-28 victory over Centennial in the Inland Division final. The pick: Centennial.

West Hills Chaminade (12-1) at Gardena Serra (11-2), 8 p.m. (Prime Ticket): The Western Division championship game comes down to whether Serra’s defense can slow down a Chaminade offense that has scored 64, 61 and 45 points in three playoff victories. Terrell Newby has rushed for 2,129 yards and 43 touchdowns. The Cavaliers were run over by Newby on Oct. 5 in a 28-20 loss. Quarterback Brad Kaaya has yet to be intercepted. Serra junior quarterback Jalen Greene is taking better care of the football, and running back Malik Roberson is primed for a big game. The pick: Chaminade.
