Watch DeAngelo Hall go nuts on official, get tossed from game

Share

DeAngelo Hall cost the Washington Redskins 30 yards and was ejected after throwing a tantrum late in his team’s 27-12 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

The game had long since been decided before Hall went nuts on an official, taking off his helmet and eventually having to be restrained by teammates and other officials.

But the tirade may end up being even more costly for Hall and/or the Redskins, as an NFL spokesman said the league will review the incident to determine if further disciplinary action is appropriate.

Hall and Pittsburgh receiver Emmanuel Sanders got tangled up and ended up crashing hard to the ground during a running play by the Steelers. While the Redskins defensive back seemed to patch things up pretty quickly with Sanders, he had plenty to say to the official who came to keep control of the situation.

“I honestly don’t know what happened,” Hall said after the game. “It all seems like a blur right now.”

Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan added: “I’m very disappointed. We talk all the time about keeping your composure regardless of what happens, regardless of what the situation is. You never put your team in that type of situation.”
