USC basketball signs UNC Charlotte transfer Darion Clark
New USC basketball Coach Andy Enfield has added a transfer from UNC Charlotte to his roster.
Sophomore Darion Clark, a 6-foot-6, 235-pound forward, will have to sit out the 2013-2014 because of NCAA transfer rules and will have three years of eligibility left for the Trojans.
Enfield said Wednesday, “Darion fits our style of play. We’re excited to have him.”
Clark played in 32 games as a freshman and started in 18 games for Charlotte. He averaged 6.2 points and 4.6 rebounds in 17.6 minutes a game, shooting 54.2% from the field.
Clark is from Conyers, Ga. and attended Oak Hill Academy, which he helped lead to a 44-0 record and the nation’s No. 1 ranking in 2012.
