Lakers discussion: When will Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol return?

Among the topics of conversation sure to come up is whether injured stars Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol will be ready to play Friday against the Washington Wizards at Staples Center.
Bryant sprained his left ankle in the final seconds of a 96-92 loss to Atlanta on March 13. He played briefly against Indiana on Friday but has missed the last two games, including a 99-76 loss to the lowly Phoenix Suns on Monday.
The Lakers are hoping he will be ready to play against the Wizards.
Gasol injured his right foot Feb. 5. His recovery was going smoothly until he felt soreness late last week.
No timetable has been set for Gasol’s return, but Friday night apparently remains a possibility.
