Dodgers’ backup lineup can’t get a run against Padres
SAN DIEGO — Rookie Robbie Erlin shut the Dodgers out on four hits through 7 2/3 innings Friday, pitching the San Diego Padres to a 2-0 victory over the newly crowned National League West champions.
A day after clinching the division title the Dodgers benched their regulars, starting what amounted to a spring training lineup behind Edinson Volquez. And though Volquez turned in his best start as a Dodger, holding his former team to five hits and one earned run over 6 1/3 innings, it wasn’t enough.
Shortstop Dee Gordon’s two-base throwing error led to a run in the first and Jedd Gyorko doubled the lead in the fifth with his 20th homer as the Dodgers lost for the seventh time in 10 games.
It’s time for playoff baseball
With the Dodgers moving to network TV for the playoffs Vin Scully will switch to radio, calling the first three innings and final three innings of each postseason game on AM 570.
Charley Steiner and Rick Monday will call the middle three innings.

Playoff tickets for the first two division series games to be played at Dodger Stadium as well as the first three championship series games in Los Angeles sold out in 30 minutes Friday morning.
As of Friday evening, a limited number of tickets for a possible third division series game at Dodger Stadium and a possible fourth championship series game in Los Angeles remained available.
However, fans can still secure guaranteed availability to 2013 National League postseason games by paying for 2014 season seats in full.
